Privacy Policy

ApnaContractor — a project of Dancom Technologies and Services (Pvt) Ltd, 2nd Floor, Beverly Centre, Blue Area, Islamabad ("we", "us"), arranges home and office maintenance services in Pakistan. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our WhatsApp service, website or ads, and how we use it.
1. What we collect
When you message or book: your name, WhatsApp/phone number, service address, the service you need, your messages with us (including with our automated assistant), preferred times, and any photos you send us of the problem.
When work is done: before-and-after photos of the work area, the invoice, and your payment confirmation (we see the payment reference, not your bank or wallet credentials).
When you give feedback: your rating and comments.
From our website and ads: standard technical data (device, browser, pages visited) and, where you click a WhatsApp button in an ad, the platform (Meta, TikTok, Google) it came from. Our website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies or pixels. If we add any (for example Meta Pixel or Google Analytics), we will list them here first.
We do not collect CNIC numbers, bank details or card numbers from customers.
2. How we use it
- To quote, book, send a professional, invoice you and confirm payment.
- To give the professional what the job needs: your first name, address and phone number — shared only on the day of the job.
- To handle problems, guarantee claims and refunds.
- To message you about your booking (confirmation, reminders, invoice, a follow-up quality check).
- To improve our service and our automated assistant.
- With your separate consent only: to send offers, or to use photos of the work in our marketing.
3. Automated assistant
Part of our WhatsApp service is an AI assistant. It reads your messages to understand the service you need, tells you the visit charge, and records your booking (the price for the work is given by the professional on site). It will tell you it is automated if you ask. A person can review the conversation, takes over for any complaint, damage or safety matter, and takes over when the assistant can't help. If you'd rather speak to a person, say so at any time. Decisions about refunds or disputes are always made by a person, not the assistant.
4. Who we share it with
- The professional assigned to your job (name, address, phone, job details) — bound by a confidentiality obligation in his agreement with us.
- Service providers we use to run the business: WhatsApp (Meta) for messaging, Google (Workspace, Sheets, Drive) for records, Calendly for scheduling, our payment providers (Raast/banks, JazzCash, Easypaisa), and the AI providers behind our assistants. Conversation and booking data is stored by ApnaContractor; our AI providers process it to run the service and do not use it to train their models. Some of these store data outside Pakistan.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share your address book or messages for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
Booking and invoice records: 7 years (accounting and tax). Chat history and job photos: 12 months after the job, unless needed for a dispute. Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.
6. Security
Access to customer records is limited to the team members who need it. Your address is our most sensitive data: professionals receive it only for the booked job, and we act on any misuse. No system is perfectly secure; tell us immediately if you suspect a problem.
7. Your choices
You can ask us at any time to: see the information we hold about you; correct it; delete it (subject to records we must keep by law); stop marketing messages; or withdraw consent for use of photos. Message us on WhatsApp or email help@apnacontractor.pk. We will respond within 14 days.
8. Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Legal basis and law
We handle personal information in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, and we will comply with Pakistan's personal data protection legislation as it comes into force. If you have a concern we haven't resolved, you may raise it with the relevant regulator in Pakistan.
